The final match of the tournament, which started on December 9 at the Kirtipur ground, was held on December 27. Gyanendra Malla, the captain of Kathmandu Knights, revealed that a proposal of fixing has been made to one of his team members.

The CIB was activated after the Ministry of Home Affairs directed to investigate ‘fixing’ and spot fixing.

He bowled a ‘no ball’ as per the plan of spot fixing while bowling in a league match.

Earlier, young all-rounder Mohammad Adil Ansari, former cricketer Mehbub Alam and Nitesh Gupta were arrested for participating in spot-fixing during the investigation.

Adil is a player who has also played international games from Nepal.
